Comment: The one-sidedness of this poll was a bit surprising as guided missiles were expected to garner more votes. Nevertheless, radar has certainly proven to be a pivotal innovation that likely saved England during WWII. Comment: It was rather interesting to observe how the results of this poll swayed over the course of two weeks. Every suicide bombing caused a lurch to "Yes," every Israeli attack a lurch to "No." In the end, the result was an even split.

Comment: These results seem to match up pretty well with national polls on the same subject, all indicating a pretty even divide. Comment: Guess people just can't resist those over-powered, nimble fighters.

Comment: This makes an interesting comparison with an ABC News poll of early February 2002 in which only one-quarter of respondents answered yes. Comment: This one was basically split down the middle during the entire voting period. Since we are getting very little information on the course of this investigation, it seems premature to make any conclusions on grounding what is still one of the world's safest planes.
